Cereal
Count Chocula is one of a five part monster-themed breakfast cereals done by General Mills. Count Chocula began in 1971 along side Franken Berry. Count Chocula is one of the longest running and had the best distribution (and can still be bought in stores outside of Halloween I believe. All can be bought online if I am not mistaken...at least Franken Berry and Boo Berry.)
It is a typical cereal, consisting of the dry parts and the odd marshmallows, but it's made of the good parts that no other cereal seems to have in the total package. While most kids now a days may not know anything about Count Chocula, if you go talk to anyone over the age of 30 you'll find some diehard fans.
However, there was a test ran once, and since Count Chocula has the fewest weaknesses ever, he is considered to be the strongest vampire ever. He also is not immortal (as the cereal has expiration dates) but does have supernatural strength and speed, he can fly and turn into a bat, and can levitate marshmallows.

Anime
There are two vampire animes that I want to go over really quick. One is Blood+ and the other is Vampire Knights. Neither are really on the kiddie side, and both are ones that I have watched several times. There are probably hundreds of other vampire animes.
Blood+
Blood+ is fifty episodes long, and inspired the movie Blood: The Last Vampire.
Under the care of her adoptive family, Saya has been living he life of an anemic and amnesiac yet ordinary schoolgirl. Her life is quite happy, until she is attacked by a chiropteran (Blood+'s vampires) where she learns that only she is able to defeat them. Armed with her special sword, Saya sets off on a journey with her family, allies, and Haji to rid the world of chiropteran and rediscover her identity.

Vampire Knight
Vampire Knight centers around a girl named Yuuki Cross, whose earliest memory is on a snowy night when she is attached by a Level E vampire and is saved by Kaname Kuran. She is then adopted by the Headmaster of Cross Academy who wants vampires and humans to live alongside each other peacefully. She is now a prefect in school along side her childhood friend Zero, a job that's main requirement is to help this coexistence remain peaceful. Zero's family was murdered by vampires, and he himself has been bitten. Cross Academy has both a day class (humans) and a night class (vampires.)
Yuuki tries to help Zero as she continues to figure out what memories she has lost. Zero is fighting to not be a Level E vampire, which is the lowest and most insane vampire. Eventually Yuuki learns that she is a vampire, and is set to marry Kaname.
There have been 11 volumes of Vampire Knight mangas, and twenty-six episodes of the anime. I highly doubt the anime is finished, but no talk of a third season has been made yet.
